GBM Dated 15th August

Despite the crisis of COVID-19, the Rotaract club of WCE, Sangli celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2021 with zeal and enthusiasm.

GBM commenced with a Vice presidential order by Rtr. Vatsala Singh, at the start, added one famous poem by Rabindranath Tagore about Freedom. Then Rtr. Siddhi Lokhande made a secretarial announcement. Rtr. Siddhi Lokhande congratulated placement achievers Rtr. Sahil Shingane, Rtr. Dayasagar Rathod, Rtr.Shritej Deo and Rtr. Kirtee Jamdade Placed at Deloitte and Rtr. Pallavi Dingare placed at Signify Copper.

                                             

GBM handover to the CSD team led by Rtr. Rutuja Khilare and Rtr. Yashraj Patil. On the occasion of Independence Day, the whole theme of GBM was planned accordingly. Rtr. Rutuja and Rtr. Yashraj told the story of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose about how he founded the Indian National Army(Azad Hind Fauj) to overthrow the British Empire from India and to acquire legendary status among the Indian masses. Moving towards Fun activities like Kaleidoscopic India and Acrostic Cipher. In Kaleidoscopic India, participants have to guess the state; they have given some hints related to the state. Another activity is, participants are given some instrumental sound and participants have to guess that instrument. Talking about the Acrostic Cipher, participants were divided into various breakout rooms and they were given Acrostic puzzles related to Indian history. The Motto of all these activities was how much we know about our Indian history and culture.

After that Rtr. Supriya Pawar was declared the performer of the GBM and everyone congratulated her. At last Rtr. Sohan Olafwar declared Core committee member of Community Service Avenue. The GBM was concluded by a Vice presidential order by Rtr. Vatsala Singh.
