GET - IT 2021-22
“Learning experiences are like journeys. The journey starts where the learning is now and ends when the learner is successful. The end of the journey isn’t knowing more, it’s doing more.”
To recite this, Rotaract Club Of WCE Sangli has invited Virtual Company XOL for recruiting Rotaractors through GET-IT (Graduate Engineers’ Test and Interview Techniques) under Professional Development Service Avenue. GET-IT was conducted for the Second year and Third year Rotaractors to get the experience of the placement process.
GET-IT consisted of four rounds. The first round was the ‘Aptitude Test’ comprised of two sub rounds. The first round of aptitude was on the 7th March 2021, it comprised of ‘Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Logical Reasoning’. The second round was on 8th March 2021, which was ‘Technical Test’, in this round participant had to solve technical questions related to their respective branch.
Mart Kampf: On 31 August and 1st September 2019, under Professional Development Service Avenue, the core committee of Mart Kampf arranged this FE Special event for the First-Year students.
The event had three sessions. The first session consisted of two parts of which one was a quiz and the other was GD. The second session was the stock market session. In this, the participants were given a list of 10 companies. They had to invest in those companies based on some set of news. The main object of this session was to earn a profit. The third session was all about negotiations. The participants were assigned the roles of industries and the middle man. The industry people had to negotiate with the middle man for brokerage charges.
The main motto of conducting this event was to make the students aware of various investments, business, and negotiation skills. A total of 90 students participate ed in this event. The theme for this event was ‘Break-even or breakdown’. The event proved to be quite effective for first-year students.
Professional Development Meet 2019-2020
The Professional Development Meets were organized every week to make the Rotaractors well versed with the different placement activities. Different sessions were organised to improve communication skills, group discussion, aptitude solving, etc. were taken for the Second and third year Rotaractors.
They were organized under Professional Development Avenue. Six PDMs were taken in the academic year 2019-20.
Spadille- Play Your Ace: This was an event organized under Professional Development Service Avenue exclusively for first-year students on 8th September 2018. The event gave first-year students a glimpse of professions other than engineering field. The objective of the event was to get students aquainted with professionalism. The event inculcated good management skills within Rotaractors.
Professional Development Meet 2018-19
Professional Development Meets: To make Rotaractors well acquainted with today’s corporate world and to develop the personality of individual, PDMS were organized every week under Professional Development Avenue. Sessions to improve aptitude, communication skills, presentation skills, group discussion tech niques, etc. were taken in PDMs for Second year and Third year Rotaractors. The PDMs were taken in order to train for the campus recruitment process.
It was our senior Rotaractor who made us realise the potential of becoming forest out of a sapling. To pass on this value an event exclusively for FEs was organized i.e Chrysalis…..Find Your Feet.
As suggested by the Director Sir, Language test was organized by Rotaract Club of WCE Sangli, which was exclusively for FEs on 10th September 2015.
The language test started sharp at 6pm. The test was of 50 marks and duration was 90 minutes. The paper contends were:-
- Reading Comprehension
- Grammar Section
- Vocab Section/ Puzzles
- E-mail Writing
Graduate Engineers’ Test and Interview Techniques(GET-IT) is a campus simulation program which emphasizes on testing the overall skills of the student. It is organized every even semester for the second and the third year Rotaractors to give them a feel of campus placements. Since 2016, it is being organized for the first year students as well.
