The GBM started with the President’s order. Moving on, the President discussed about some current happenings in the world with the Rotaractors. After that, the GBM was handed over to the CSDs.
“Entrepreneurship is seeing an opportunity and gathering the resources to turn a possibility into a reality. It represents the freedom to envision something new and to make it happen. It includes risk, but it also includes the reward of creating a legacy.” Rtr. Simran Dodmise enlightened the students with the essence of the above quote and introduced the GBM’s theme – “Entrepreneurship“.
Team names were the names of the charismatic and upbeat women personalities from the business world:-
- Indra Nooyi – Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is an Indian American business executive who served as the Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo. She has consistently ranked among the world’s 100 most powerful women.
- Angela Merkel – Angela Dorothea Merkel is a German politician serving as Chancellor of Germany since 2005 and leader of the centre-right Christian Democratic Union since 2000. Merkel has been widely described as the de facto leader of the European Union, the most powerful woman in the world, and the leader of the Free World.
- Wang Laichun – Wang Laichun is a Chinese billionaire, chairman and one-third owner of the electronics manufacturer Luxshare.
The first session was the activity based on the simulation of a negotiation named as Deal or No-Deal. In this activity cards were given to the Rotaractors and they played the role of sellers and buyers, where the buyers had to buy the card at the price printed on the top of the card while the sellers had to sell it at the price printed on the backside of the card.
Moving on, the next session was a public speech wherein Rtr. Vaibhav Dighole gave a sensible speech on the topic of “Video game addiction”.
The third session called Entreleton, was a simple activity in which Rotaractors had to point out the functions of the organs of the human body which play a vital role in the Entrepreneurial journey.
The last session was Communiquer, in which the teams had to guess the name of the company on the basis of the description given by the volunteer.
Moving on, Rtr. Kapil Bhalotia shared his valuable experience about the placement.
After that, new faces were welcomed to the Rotaract family. Rtr. Ajay Patil, Rtr. Ankita Mankar, Rtr. Nikita Mankar were selected as the new inducted members.
Before concluding the GBM, members of the SPADILLE committee were felicitated.
